BOZEMAN – It was nice to see temperatures climb above freezing Friday afternoon and that trend is likely again by Sunday and Monday. In fact, most reporting stations in SW Montana could see max temperatures in the 40s by Monday afternoon.

Watch for some scattered snow showers Friday night into Saturday morning. Lower valleys could see an inch or two of new snow to start the weekend but snow showers should diminish by late morning or early afternoon.

A zonal flow or strong westerly flow aloft could produce strong wind gusts along the Rocky Mountain front and down into the Upper Yellowstone region Saturday night through Monday night.

The National Weather Service did issue a HIGH WIND WATCH from Saturday night to Monday night. Peak wind gusts in the highlighted areas could be in the 65 to 75 mph range. Localized areas of blowing snow are also possible this weekend.
