Mild with a few showers this afternoon

BOZEMAN – A SW flow today is helping temperatures stay near normal but it’s also paving the way for a little moisture to stream up into the region.

Light snow is likely this afternoon and evening for mountain passes along the MT/ID state line in Southern Beaverhead, Madison, and Gallatin Counties. Snow accumulations should be light, but visibility will be the bigger travel hazard this afternoon and evening for Monida Pass, Raynolds Pass, and Targhee Pass.

There could be just enough lift in the atmosphere to produce an isolated weak thunderstorm in SW Montana this afternoon.

Tuesday through Friday temperatures will be warming to near or slightly above normal levels. In fact, a few 60s are possible by Thursday.

Unfortunately, by the weekend a colder and wet weather pattern will drop in from the North and there could be some valley snow accumulations by Sunday. Stay tuned for more updates.
