BUTTE – The Mining City will hold its annual Fourth of July fireworks display this summer – on July 3, as usual.

Town Pump announced Wednesday the Butte Health Department and Chief Executive Dave Palmer approved hosting the event after it was initially canceled earlier this year due to the coronavirus.

Last Month, Palmer said the city would consider hosting the event if there were no reported spike in cases of COVID-19 in Butte-Silver Bow.

Helena-Based Big Sky Fireworks will put on the display that will begin at dusk just beneath the “Big M” on Big Butte on July 3.
