BOZEMAN – Light and steady snowfall Thursday is producing a minor impact to travel both in town and especially for mountain passes in SW Montana.

Plan on a slow go evening commute Thursday. Slow down and watch for icing on most roadways as light snow continues to fall.

Friday should be a drier day but temperatures will be slightly colder than normal.

NEXT WEATHER MAKER

The next round of active weather will set up over the weekend. A stronger cold front will pass through the state by Sunday. Ahead of this front temperatures will warm up into the 30s Saturday and Sunday but watch for increasing surface winds that could produce localized blowing snow and difficult travel Saturday into Sunday.

The front should pass through by Sunday afternoon producing gusty winds and scattered snow showers, both will continue to produce wintry travel concerns Sunday into Monday morning.
