BOZEMAN - Friday afternoon and evening looks quiet for SW Montana with only a slight chance for a few isolated mountain showers through sunset.

Saturday we will be between storm systems so look for another quiet weather day with temperatures climbing into the 80s, or near normal, but increasing surface winds will develop by Saturday afternoon ahead of the next cold front.

The next weather maker will be another Canadian cold front dropping through Montana Saturday evening into Sunday morning with best chance for showers and isolated thunderstorms along the hi-line. This should be a mostly dry cold front for SW Montana Sunday with gusty surface winds ahead of the front, along the front, and right behind the front. So please be extra careful with outdoor activities this weekend with gusty winds likely to increase fire danger levels.

Cooler than normal temperatures will move back into Montana Sunday and are likely for most of next week.
