BOZEMAN – NW flow aloft is over Montana Wednesday afternoon producing a few showers mostly around Billings but should quickly taper after sunset.
Weak High-pressure will produce a dry and mild weather pattern through Friday. Clear skies at night could produce patchy to widespread valley fog Wednesday evening into Thursday morning. Allow for longer commute times Thursday morning especially if you encounter valley fog with lower visibility and icy roads and bridges.
Next weather maker will be another pacific cold front arriving Friday afternoon along the MT/ID state line and reaching SW Montana Friday evening. A quick shot of rain or snow is possible for lower valleys and a couple of inches of mountain snow is also possible Friday night.
The weekend will begin slightly cooler behind a fast moving cold front but should warm up Sunday ahead of the next round of cool and wet weather early next week.
