BOZEMAN - A weak disturbance will build over Montana Thursday. Late day thunderstorms will start to develop between Missoula and Butte around 1 pm Thursday and should continue to develop along and east of the divide into the early evening hours.
Most storms should be on the weak side but look for a few storms to produce brief heavy rain, small hail, gusty outflow winds, and frequent lightning.
The next weather maker will be a Canadian cold front dropping through the state from North to South Friday evening into Saturday morning and this will likely bring scattered showers and a few thunderstorms mostly to the northern half of the state.
