BOZEMAN – A quiet weather pattern Sunday afternoon will come a quick end by Monday evening.

The next weather maker is a small but potent Pacific storm. A strong cold front will pass through the state from NW to SE Monday evening into Tuesday morning. This front will produce snow and wind. Light to moderate snow accumulations are likely for most lower valleys but mountains and passes could see moderate to heavy snow at times.

Temperatures will remain near to slightly above normal Monday but fall well below normal by Tuesday.

Currently there are no winter weather highlights up for SW Montana but stay tuned, I am anticipating the National Weather Service to issue advisories or warnings.

Travel will be impacted by this storm Tuesday morning through Wednesday morning. Please be prepared for slow-go travel conditions and give yourself extra time to reach your destination.
