BOZEMAN – A zonal flow aloft is keeping temperatures running near normal today and it’s pushing scattered snow showers through the state mostly over mountains and passes west of I-15.
MT/ID state line passes continue to see areas of light to moderate snow Thursday afternoon so be prepared for wintry travel over mountain passes. Snow should be ending overnight and with clearing skies will come colder lows. Wet roads could become icy and watch for areas of black ice near bridge decks.
Patchy valley fog is also possible Thursday evening into Friday morning.
A colder but dry weather pattern will sit over Montana through the weekend and overall travel conditions look good.
