BOZEMAN - A cold front passing through the state produced localized strong to severe thunderstorms from Lima to Bozeman southward Monday afternoon and early evening.

Hardest hit areas were between Ennis, Big Sky, Bozeman, and Livingston.

The National Weather Service issued 2 severe thunderstorm warnings. The first, between Big Sky and Bozeman around 5:45 pm and the second, was between Bozeman and Livingston around 7 pm.

KBZK received numerous reports of large hail. Most were quarter size hailstones south of Bozeman with the first thunderstorm and between Bozeman and Belgrade with the second thunderstorm. No reports of damage so far. Livingston airport did measure a thunderstorm wind gusts up to 75 mph and that triggered a warning to be issued.
