Pattern change arrives Thursday for SW Montana

BOZEMAN – Hazy skies have returned to SW Montana today. Wildfire smoke has moved back in from the SW today and although it’s not nearly as bad as last week air quality conditions have moved up into the “moderate” range today.

Flow aloft will remain out of the SW and that should continue to feed more smoke into the region along with above normal temperatures Wednesday into Thursday.

The next weather maker will be a stronger Pacific storm by the end of the week. First comes a cold front Thursday followed by a slower moving upper-level Low Friday into Saturday.

A Fall like weather pattern will impact most of Montana Friday into Saturday with scattered showers, higher mountain snow, and cooler than normal temperatures.

Don’t worry we will be back in the dry and warm weather mode next week.
