BOZEMAN – Mother’s Day Weekend is looking cool across Montana. A NW flow aloft will continue to produce cool temperatures, in fact, next week will also be cooler than normal.
Several weak disturbances will follow the Polar jet stream and slide down into Montana mostly east of the divide produce scattered showers, a few rumbles of thunder, and higher mountain snow. For SW Montana this pattern is not favorable for widespread precipitation, rather just spotty showers mostly Friday evening into Saturday morning.
Next week we will start to see several Pacific storms move in from West and NW. Storms begin to roll in on Monday with more widespread valley rain and mountain snow by Tuesday through Thursday. The wet weather pattern will also keep temperatures below normal.
