BOZEMAN – A slow-moving upper-level Low is still over Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana Monday afternoon.

Wrap-around bands are producing steady rainfall just north of SW Montana Monday afternoon. These bands will begin to drop to the SE tonight with increasing showers by Tuesday morning. The flow aloft will transition out of the west Tuesday afternoon and that will help to produce afternoon thunderstorms for SW Montana tomorrow.

The current storm system is likely to push out of the region beginning Wednesday with a general warming and drying pattern developing by Thursday.

The National Weather Service continues a FLOOD WATCH for SW Montana west of the divide through Wednesday morning.

Smaller streams and creeks will be running very strong and could jump out of their banks in low-lying areas. Watch for ponding on roadways and some dirt county roads may become impassable.
