BOZEMAN – After the extreme heatwave over the weekend it’s nice to see temperatures trending slightly cooler Monday. A weak cold front is passing through the state producing a few thunderstorms, gusty winds, and cooler temperatures.
There is a slight chance for a few isolated strong thunderstorms to develop over SW Montana Monday afternoon along the bottom edge of a passing cold front. Southern Beaverhead, Madison, Gallatin, and Park counties have the best chance for a few thunderstorms this afternoon through sunset.
Temperatures should be cooler behind this front Tuesday and with High-pressure rebuilding over the region look for a gradual warm-up through Thursday. The next cold front will arrive late Thursday into Friday.
