High wind event Saturday for SW Montana

BOZEMAN – A high wind event will impact SW Montana Saturday morning through Saturday evening.

The National Weather Service issued a HIGH WIND WARNING for SW Montana east of the divide Saturday from 9 am to 8 pm.

Sustained winds 30 to 45 mph are likely. Peak gusts in high wind prone areas could reach 60+ mph.

The National Weather Service has issued a WIND ADVISORY for the Butte/Blackfoot region Saturday from 9 am to 6 pm.

Sustained winds 20 to 30 mph are likely. Peak wind gusts between 40 to 50 mph are also likely. Strong crosswinds will pose a travel hazard on I-90 between Butte and Deer Lodge.

The National Weather Service issued a WIND ADVISORY for the Livingston area Saturday from 9 am to 10 pm.

Peak wind gusts could reach or exceed 60 mph. Crosswinds on I-90 will create hazardous travel conditions, especially for high profile vehicles.
