BOZEMAN – Changing of the seasons with the arrival of the Fall Equinox arriving Tuesday morning at 7:30 am MDT.
This is the time of the year with near equal hours of daylight and darkness and it also marks the beginning of shorter days and longer nights until the arrival of the Winter Solstice on Monday December 21.
Weatherwise we will welcome in Fall with a dry and mild pattern. Weak High-pressure is rebuilding over the state and should produce a quiet weather pattern for a few days.
The next weather maker will be another Pacific cold front to pass through the region Friday into Saturday. Ahead of the front a stronger SW flow aloft with above normal temperatures and possible increase in wildfire smoke. Once the front arrives and moves east look for cooler temperatures and scattered showers.
I will have updated forecast temperatures for you through the next 7 to 10 days at 5:30 pm and 10 pm on KXLF and KBZK.
