BOZEMAN – A dry cold front is on track to pass through Montana Wednesday. Ahead of the front look for a stronger SW flow aloft producing warmer temperatures and lower humidity.

As the cold front begins to dig into Montana surface winds could increase tonight into Wednesday.

The combination of the warm, dry, and wind is the reason a Red Flag WARNING is up for most of SW Montana through Wednesday evening.

Please use extreme caution while working and recreating outdoors Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday evening to avoid accidental new fire starts.

There is a slight chance a few isolated thunderstorms could impact Madison, Gallatin, and Park counties Wednesday afternoon into the early morning hours on Thursday.
