BOZEMAN – A very weak disturbance is pushing through Montana Monday producing a few snow showers mostly west of I-15. Most of the snow is over mountains and very little to no snow is impacting lower valley floors.

The next weather maker will be a cold front passing through Montana Wednesday morning through Wednesday evening from West to East.

This front will produce scattered snow showers, locally windy conditions, and keep temperatures hovering around or slightly below normal.

This storm system will bring several inches of snow to most mountain ranges across the state and could have a minor impact on traveling over mountain passes. Lower valleys could see brief periods of off-and-on snow with minor accumulations. The biggest concern for traveling will be wet roads turning icy Wednesday through Thursday.

Currently there are no winter weather highlights up across Montana. No watches, warnings or advisories as of Monday afternoon. There could be some wind highlights issued and possibly a winter weather advisory for some mountain passes as we get closer to Wednesday.
