BOZEMAN – Another Canadian cold front to pass through Montana Friday evening through Sunday morning. This storm system will bring scattered rain or snow to lower valleys and snow to most mountains and passes.
The storm appears to be on the weaker side so this should have a minimal impact on travel this weekend.
Most mountain ranges in SW Montana could see several inches of snow Saturday evening into Sunday morning. Valleys will likely see a rain/snow mix Saturday afternoon and that will change to all snow Saturday evening. Most of the lower valley snow will melt away by Sunday afternoon.
The other weather impact, this type of pattern will bring is gusty surface winds ahead of the cold front Friday afternoon through Saturday afternoon. Wind prone areas could see gusts 30 to 50 mph.
