Big temperature swings through next week

BOZEMAN – An active weather pattern will continue for the rest of this week and could last well into next week.

What makes this an interesting pattern will be the big temperatures swings. As each Pacific storm system passes through the region a warm front arrives ahead of a cold front. This will kick temperatures above normal for a day or two but drop abruptly with each cold front.

By this weekend temperatures will jump well above normal and could reach record levels with 50’s and possibly a few lower 60’s. But by Monday of next week temperatures will drop sharply back down into the upper 20’s to lower 30’s.

A mix of rain or snow is possible with each storm system and snow accumulations will continue this week into next week for most mountain ranges.

At times lower valleys could see rain or snow and that could produce some icy conditions impacting mostly morning commutes Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of this week.
