BOZEMAN – Spring is here! Friday is the first full day of Spring. We are adding around 3 minutes of daylight per day. Friday’s total daylight hours for SW Montana 12 hours and 11 minutes. Saturday 12 hours and 14 minutes and by the time the Summer Solstice arrives on June 20 (longest day of the year) there will be 15 hours and 45 minutes of daylight.

Typical for late March and early April will be an active weather pattern with a NW flow aloft guiding numerous Pacific storms into the Pacific NW and Northern Rockies. Storms this time of the year typically have a higher moisture content so our mountain snowpack will get a nice boost.

The first in a series of storms will arrive on Monday evening and last through Wednesday of next week.
