BOZEMAN – High-pressure is trying to build over Montana today and is producing dry and warm conditions, however, a weak disturbance will impact the state by Friday morning.

A weak cold front could produce scattered showers, gusty winds, and a few morning thunderstorms over the northern half of SW Montana Friday morning.

Butte has the best chance for some early morning rumbles with only an isolated shower for Bozeman.

This system will pass through quickly and High-pressure will rebuild over the region producing warm and dry weather heading into the weekend.

Another Pacific cold front will arrive late weekend into early next week. Ahead of this front, we will see a stronger SW flow aloft and that will push temperatures up into the 80s and 90s this weekend locally with a few low 100s in far eastern Montana.

Once the cold front arrives temperatures will drop again slightly below normal into early next week.
