BOZEMAN – Flow aloft is shifting back to the west today and this will begin a slow warming trend through the weekend into next week.
The westerly flow will also direct Pacific moisture to pass the Pacific NW and into the Northern Rockies. A weak disturbance is developing over most of Western Montana Friday afternoon producing mostly mountain snow showers.
This disturbance will pass through the Northern half of SW Montana this evening into Saturday morning. Areas of light snow accumulations are possible from Wisdom to Anaconda to Helena to White Sulphur Springs. Butte you will be on the edge of this disturbance so there is a chance for light snow tonight. The Bozeman area could see a few flurries in the early morning hours Saturday.
Temperatures should moderate this weekend with 40s Saturday and nearing the lower 50s by Sunday.
