BOZEMAN – A cold and unsettled weather pattern continues to impact Southern Montana this afternoon and evening with scattered snow showers, gusty winds, and well below normal temperatures.
Low pressure is slowly migrating to the NE and will begin to move farther away from SW Montana overnight with snow showers diminishing after sunset. Mountain passes could continue to pick up light snow accumulations and wet roadways will become icy overnight.
Winter Weather Advisories have expired across most of SW Montana except for Gallatin County. The advisory has been extended into early Wednesday morning. Bozeman pass on I-90 will be impacted with light snow, wet and icy road surfaces so please slow down and allow for longer commute times.
Overnight with skies clearing temperatures will once again drop down into the teens and a few single digits are possible. This will put SW Montana close to record low range Wednesday morning.
A slow warming trend will begin to build back over the region by Wednesday afternoon and continue through the weekend.

BOZEMAN: LOW: 18°; HIGH WEDNESDAY: 47°. Snow showers are likely through the early evening Tuesday. Skies should begin to clear overnight allowing early morning lows to fall well below normal. Wednesday look for a few pop-up afternoon rain or snow showers and slightly warmer afternoon temperatures.
BUTTE: LOW: 18°; HIGH WEDNESDAY: 45°. Scattered snow showers should be ending after midnight for Butte. Wet roads could become icy. Partial clearing overnight and very cold Wednesday morning. A few isolated rain or snow showers could develop by Wednesday afternoon.
DILLON: LOW: 20°; HIGH WEDNESDAY: 50°. A few flurries for Dillon through midnight. Overnight look for clearing skies and colder morning lows. Afternoon temperatures Wednesday could reach the lower 50s.
WEST YELLOWSTONE: LOW: 10°; HIGH WEDNESDAY: 43°. A few snow showers are possible for West Yellowstone through midnight. Overnight clearing skies will allow temperatures to drop down to or lower than 10 degrees. Wednesday will be cold with only a slight chance for an isolated afternoon shower or snow flurries.
