BOZEMAN – Finally deep Arctic air is pushing out of Montana. Temperatures trends are expected to stay below seasonal averages through the next 2 weeks but the good news is it will not be falling well below zero.
As the weather pattern changes several pacific storms will pass through the Northern and Central Rockies producing snow and wind and difficult wintry travel at times.

Wednesday
City by City Forecast:
BOZEMAN: LOW: 10°; HIGH THURSDAY: 33°. Mostly cloudy with a few passing snow showers tonight into Thursday. Not as cold but still colder than normal through the next 10 days. Snow will be more widespread Friday into Saturday morning.
BUTTE: LOW: 11°; HIGH THURSDAY: 36°. Mostly cloudy with light snow showers tonight into Thursday. Not as cold and hopefully staying above zero at night through next week. Minor snow accumulations are possible through Friday.
DILLON: LOW: 15°; HIGH THURSDAY: 35°. Finally a break in the weather pattern with forecast highs slightly above freezing Thursday afternoon. The last day temperatures were above freezing in Dillon was back on February 15th. Look for a few snow showers with minor accumulations. Nearby mountain passes could see a couple of inches of snow and wintry travel impacts through Saturday.
WEST YELLOWSTONE: LOW: 19°; HIGH THURSDAY: 36°. Trading cold for snow in West Yellowstone over the next 10 days. Several systems will bring light to moderate snow accumulations through the end of next week. Snow is likely Thursday through Saturday with over 6″ possible and over a foot for higher elevations into Yellowstone National Park. The increasing snow will bring difficult travel through West Yellowstone and down into Island Park, ID over the next 72 hours.
