Bozeman Health confirmed it received 975 doses of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine around 9:30 Monday morning.
According to a media release, the first doses are intended for healthcare workers at the hospital who provide frequent care to COVID-19 patients. Other recipients will include healthcare workers who provide direct patient care, as well as positions with limited staff and whose absence would impact patient care.
Bozeman Health said it will hold a press conference Monday afternoon to provide an update on vaccination plans. Six employees will also be given the vaccine during the press conference.
Earlier Monday, St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings reported it had received its first vaccine shipment. St. James Healthcare in Butte says it expects to receive doses of the vaccine within the next few days.
