A Florida man is dead following a fatal accident near Ronan on Sunday. The incident occurred around 5:50 p.m. on Moiese Valley Road.

Montana Highway Patrol dispatcher tells MTN News, the vehicle involved was a 2005 Subaru Forester traveling northbound on Moiese Valley Road.

The driver lost control trying to negotiate a curve in the road. She over-corrected, sending the vehicle off the road. It overturned, and hit a tree.

The passenger, a 33 year old Florida man, was sitting in the front seat, and was ejected on impact. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The driver, 34 year old female from Ronan, and a 30 year old female from Polson were also injured in the crash.

They were taken to St. Luke Community Hospital for treatment.

Alcohol and speed are thought to be factors in the crash, according to Montana Highway Patrol.

MHP says all three were not wearing seat-belts.
