The Montana Highway Patrol responded to a jackknifed semi on the Bozeman Pass at mile marker 316 around 6:10 a.m. Sunday.
According to MHP Trooper Rob Muir, while he was at the scene another semi crossed the median and struck two vehicles, blocking the westbound lanes.
Minor injuries were sustained by those involved in the crash.
MTN News heard from people stopped on the interstate who reported long backups, with some opting to take Jackson Creek.
The scene was cleared after approximately three hours.
