BILLINGS – Fake currently is floating around in the area of Worden, according to the Yellowstone County Sheriff’s Office, and deputies are encouraging residents to destroy the bills if found.
The bills have distinct markings on them, alerting consumers that they are indeed fake.
Deputies say the bills were located outside of businesses in the Worden area in the past couple of weeks, and while the Sheriff’s Office took to Facebook to say that possessing them is not illegal, it is against the law to try and purchase anything with the fake currency.
The Yellowstone County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
