Anaconda unveils Marcus Daly statue
The nonprofit Anaconda Restoration Association revealed a life-size statue of Copper King Marcus Daly outside the historic Montana Hotel before an enthusiastic crowd.
Artist Fred Boyer created the statue of Daly, who founded the Smelter City in 1883. The sculpture stands next to a bench featuring Daly's famed racehorse, Tammany.
