Peoria, AZ (KNXV ) — Authorities are investigating after a father shot his son in the back Saturday night.
The incident happened around 5:30 p.m. near 83rd Avenue and Bell Road.
Peoria police say the adult male was able to leave the scene and call 911. Officers say he was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.
The father stayed on scene and is cooperating with police, according to Peoria Police Officer Brandon Sheffert.
The father and son are not being identified at this time.
