Wilmington, NC (WLOS) — A Wilmington, North Carolina, man has been arrested and charged with multiple sex crimes.
Wilmington Police said 55-year-old Michael Lee Hasson was arrested Thursday and charged with three counts of sexual battery and one count of second degree forcible sex offense.
Hasson, an oral surgeon at Wilmington Oral Surgery, is accused of sexually abusing at least four patients while they were under anesthesia going back to 2017.
Police say the four female victims ranged in age from 17 to 21 years old.
Hasson is currently being held at New Hanover County Jail on a $1.25 million bond.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are forthcoming.
