Omaha, NE (KPTM) — Douglas County health officials say two more adults have died from flu this season.

That brings the total to four people in the county.

All of them were older than 65.

One child has died in Nebraska during the 2018-2019 flu season, but it was not in Douglas County.

Officials say the area is still seeing high levels of flu reported in the last week. They say type A is mostly what doctors are seeing.

Although confirmed cases are down slightly from the week before that. There were 315 cases reported last week; 402 were confirmed the week before.

Several long-term care facilities have seen outbreaks.

There was also a small uptick in the number of people testing positive for respiratory syncytial virus, a sickness that can lead to coughing and other breathing problems.

It can be particularly dangerous for young children.
