Ponchatoula, LA (WDSU) — A 58-year-old Tangipahoa Parish woman was killed Wednesday evening when a tree fell through the roof of her camper trailer, officials said.
The death was reported around 11 p.m. on Sisters Road in Ponchatoula.
Investigators with the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office said Roxanne Kliebert, 58, was in the camper trailer when the tree fell through the roof. The Sheriff’s Office believes she died instantly while in her sleep.
Relatives said Kliebert was a loving mother and grandmother with two grandchildren. Her family said lighting truck the tree, sending it into the trailer.
