Boca Raton, FL (WPTV) — A Boca Raton pizzeria says a hit and driver smashed into the restaurant Wednesday morning.

Tomasso’s Pizza and Subs at 1229 W. Palmetto Park Road posted on Facebook, saying a car plowed through a chain link fence and crashed into the business around 7:30 a.m., causing massive damage.

Photos show a large hole in a side wall, as well as damage inside the pizzeria’s kitchen.

Tomasso’s says the car sat there until 7:51 a.m., then took off. It appeared to be dark in color. The restaurant is now looking for information about who the driver is.

“We’d like you to come back and pay for the damage, assuming you’re OK and not in the hospital somewhere,” said Mike Tomasso, the owner of the restaurant.

No one was hurt inside the business, and no major equipment was damaged, according to the Facebook post.

The pizzeria says Boca Raton police are investigation, and after an investigator left Wednesday morning, workers found pieces of broken light covers and glass that read Toyota.
