Elkhorn, NE (KPTM) — Omaha police have arrested a man they say allowed two Elkhorn teens to buy alcohol the night before an Elkhorn teen was in a deadly crash.
Those teens were also arrested and are in juvenile court.
Court records say Kevin Hart, 29, was arrested at the Kwik Shop where he worked overnights. Prosecutors say Hart sold the liquor to two teenagers on Oct. 11 who later sold it to George Gervase, 17, and another teen.
Prosecutors say Gervase was killed less than five hours after picking alcohol up from those teens.
Police records say Gervase had a blood alcohol content of .217% at the time of the crash.
This was on October 12th at 6:43 a.m. at 192nd and Pacific.
That’s close to three times the legal limit.
Officers say they could smell alcohol when Gervase was being pulled out of his car.
“This crash was a high speed, high energy crash that sheared off a wooden power pole and a medium sized pine tree,” officers say in court documents.”
Those documents also say Gervase was not wearing a seatbelt.
Hart is being charged with Procuring an alcohol for a minor that resulted in death. It’s a class 3A felony.
The two teenagers who bought the liquor have been charged in juvenile court.

Court records say Omaha Police Officer Mike Bossman obtained a search warrant for Gervase’s cell phone.
