Denver, CO (KMGH) — A man who authorities said claimed to be a Denver Broncos player before sexually assaulting a woman was arrested by FBI agents in Denver Wednesday.
James Otis Turner, 49, is being held without bond after a woman reported that she had been sexually assaulted by Turner, who claimed to be an active player with the Denver Broncos, according to a release Wednesday by the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim reported the assault occurred on July 14 of this year. Details of the case are not known.
The sheriff’s office said the National Football League and the Denver Broncos have confirmed that Turner has never been a player for the team.
