OMAHA, Ne (KPTM) — Omaha fire investigators say a large fire that destroyed an apartment building Wednesday night was caused by smoking materials.
Investigators say someone did not throw them away correctly.
Several floors collapsed during the fire.
Fire crews were still on scene Thursday morning to take care of any hot spots.
One person had to be taken to the hospital because of a pre-existing condition not related to the fire.
Firefighters say the building was worth more than one million dollars.
