MID-WEEK WINTER STORM:
Winter Storm Warnings and Watches are already out for Tuesday through Wednesday night in southwest Montana. A strong arctic front will move through the area late on Tuesday afternoon and evening which will likely spark a few rain showers that will transition to a rain/snow mix for the middle evening. Snow showers will develop overnight and will likely bring icy and snow-covered roads as you head out the door on Wednesday morning.

The latest data shows that valleys in southwest Montana will pick up between 3”-8” of snow by Thursday morning with mountain likely to see 6”-12” or more. Much of the concern with this storm will be the combination snow and a sudden drop in temperatures. Morning lows on Thursday could be in the single digits for several areas.
