WEEKEND SNOW UPDATE:
We are tracking a storm that is capable of bringing snow to the area for the weekend. A Winter Storm Watch is out for northern Montana from Friday evening through Sunday. The current model data shows that the mountains near Glacier National Park could see between 1 to 3 feet of snow at the peaks with up to 3 inches of snow in the valleys. Southwest Montana also holds the potential of snow, but little accumulation is expected at this point. The first wave for southwest portions of the state is expected early Saturday morning with a rain/snow mix. Sunday morning is the best potential for light accumulation in the region. Warm ground temperatures will likely keep the accumulation at a minimum, but a light accumulation is certainly possible.
