Wednesday Forecast: Wet snow in the mountains of southwest Montana with a mix of rain and snow possible for much of southwest Montana for early Wednesday morning. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for most of southwest Montana through 12 PM Wednesday for areas above 5000 feet. Snow is expected in many mountain areas with the highest peaks expected to pick up between 2”-12” of snow depending on elevation. The majority of the snow is expected in extreme western Montana. Most of the area will likely see a soaking cold rain through the morning with pockets of heavy rain possible through the afternoon and evening with a brisk northwest wind between 10-20 mph.
BOZEMAN: High: 52; Low: 40. A mix of rain and snow is possible in the early morning with little, if any, accumulation expected. Keep the umbrella close along with that heavy jacket as temperatures will likely be in the upper 40s for most of the day. Winds will stay out of the northwest between 10-20 mph.
BUTTE: High: 50; Low: 40. Snow showers are likely early on Wednesday which could leave up to 2” in high terrain. Temperatures will struggle for the afternoon with a cold rain expected into the evening.
DILLON: High: 49; Low: 38. Cold rain and a brisk wind will dominate the afternoon. Pockets of heavy rain are likely through the afternoon and evening.
WEST YELLOWSTONE: High: 46; Low: 34. Snow showers for the morning with a mix of rain and snow close to the noon hour. Periods of heavy rain are possible through the afternoon and bring a rain/snow mix again for the evening.
