Mountain snowpack and weekend snow potential

Today's Forecast:
Temperatures will continue to be chilly with an isolated chance of light snow through the afternoon and evening. Highs will stay in the 20s and low 30s for the afternoon. A few scattered snow showers will develop for the afternoon in the mountains of southwest Montana with light snow in a few valleys during the evening. Most of the accumulating snow will be minimal with a trace to as much as an inch of snow possible by Saturday morning.

BOZEMAN: High: 29; Low: 15. Expect mainly cloudy conditions with light snow developing during the afternoon and lingering through early Saturday morning.

BUTTE: High: 30; Low: 10. Look for chilly conditions with light wind for the afternoon with a light accumulation through the evening. Most models indicate that we would see less than 1” of snow by early Saturday.

DILLON: High: 28; Low: 12. Light snow is possible late in the afternoon. The latest model data shows that the area could see as much as 2” of snow by Saturday.

WEST YELLOWSTONE: High: 23; Low: 4. Light snow is possible through the afternoon and evening with light snow accumulation in the area. Some areas in the region could see 1”-2” by early Saturday.
