and last updated

Today's Forecast:
Temperatures will be on the rise for your Friday as temperatures top out in the 40s for most of the region. Our snow chances will be slim except for a few snow showers in extreme southern Montana. Winds will stay out of the south between 10-20 mph.

BOZEMAN: High: 44; Low: 26. Mild temperatures through the afternoon under mostly sunny skies will be the main takeaway for the afternoon. We will see winds out of the south between 10-20 mph.

BUTTE: High: 41; Low: 20. Highs will be well above average with a southerly breeze between 5-15 mph.

DILLON: High: 38; Low: 22. Milder temperatures are expected with a southwest wind between 10-20 mph under mainly sunny skies.

WEST YELLOWSTONE: High: 30; Low: 15. Light snow is possible during the early part of the day with little accumulation expected.

CHRISTMAS WEEK OUTLOOK:
While we trend warmer for the weekend, we do have cooler air moving in by Monday and Tuesday which will drop temperatures from the 40s to the mid-thirties. There is a not an abundance of moisture to work with when that cooler air moves in so we don’t expect to see significant snow for the region. There will be an isolated chance of a few isolated snow showers Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, though we expect most areas in southwest Montana to remain dry. Highs will fall back to the 20s and low 30s by Christmas Day and through most of the week. Travel concerns at this point look to be minimal.
