Extreme Fire Danger in SW Montana for Monday

RED FLAG WARNING: A Red Flag Warning has been issued for southwest Montana from Noon Monday through 9 PM Monday evening. Gusty west to southwest winds are expected between 15-35 mph with extremely low humidity and warm temperatures. Use extreme caution if you are near dry fuels as erratic or difficult conditions are expected and fire danger will be extreme for your Monday.

Today's Forecast:Warm and dry under mostly sunny skies. Hazy skies are expected to linger for the afternoon. Temperatures will likely reach the upper 80s to near 90 degrees for the afternoon with a southern wind between 10-20 mph with gusts near 30 mph. Lows tonight will fall back to the upper 40s and lower 50s overnight.

BOZEMAN: High: 87; Low: 51. Hazy skies and warm for the afternoon. Winds are expected to be out of the southeast between 10-20 mph with gusts near 30 mph.

BUTTE: High: 86; Low: 46. Cloudless but hazy skies for the afternoon. Winds will gust out of the southwest between 15-30 mph through the evening.

DILLON: High: 85; Low: 46. Warm and windy with a westerly wind gusting to near 30 mph.

WEST YELLOWSTONE: High: 79; Low: 36. Temperatures will climb quickly this afternoon to the upper 70s. Smoke-filled skies are expected to linger.
