BOZEMAN – A cool and windy Sunday for SW Montana. The flow aloft Sunday afternoon is out of the NW as a High-pressure ridge continues to sit over the Pacific NW.

This pattern will change as a series of Pacific storms slowly move into the Pacific NW and Northern Rockies. The flow aloft will shift out of the SW beginning Monday afternoon and that will help produce scattered thunderstorms Monday afternoon and early evening.

A broad trough of Low-pressure will build over the western half of the country and produce a cool, wet and unsettled weather pattern. Tuesday through Thursday will be an active time for Montana with several systems passing through the state.

A strong west to SW flow aloft will bring several storms systems to the state, but the best chance for moderate rainfall will be across the western half of the state.
