BOZEMAN — A skier triggered a small avalanche near Big Sky this week. There were no injuries. It happened in an out-of-bound area; the skiers had jumped off this area at least once and the second run is when the skier triggered the slide. Wiley Miller shared this video:

There were at least 16 deaths across the nation in February due to avalanches, including at least two in Montana - the deadliest period in decades.
