As children gear to go back to school, there are several changes taking place as schools prepare for students amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Some of those changes may be unfamiliar to some and change can be scary.

To help with those first day jitters, there are books parents and their kids can read together that could help them put their minds at ease.

"First Day Critter Jitters" by Jory John

This picture book is about animals being nervous on their first day of school. And soon realize that school isn't so scary.

"The Day You Begin" by Jacqueline Woodson

This book, according to Amazon, will help children who feel afraid and encourage them to connect with others.

"The King of Kindergarten" by Derrick Barnes

The little boy in this book is excited about his first day of kindergarten and, according to the author, is "ready to make his mark!"
