Obituary: Lola “Beth” Conner

Lola “Beth” Conner, 83, of Bozeman passed away Monday, October 15, 2018.  She was born January 24, 1935 in Holly, Colorado to John W. and Nella M. (Eakin) Kendall.

Beth married Jay E. Conner, Sr. on September 12, 1953 in Garden City, Kansas.  Together they raised five children.  She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone for 30 years before retiring in 1992 as Chief Operator and Operations Engineer.

Beth was a talented quilter who enjoyed participating in Quilts of Valor.  She also loved sewing, crocheting, and cooking.  Above all, she enjoyed caring for her family.

Survivors include her spouse, Jay E. Conner, Sr.; daughters, Sheri Conner and Kimberly (Gregory R.) Reimer; sons, Jay Conner, Jr., Keith (Nancy) Conner, and David (Judy) Conner; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Belfiore; and brother, David Kendall, Sr.

She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Katherine Nelson; sisters, Edith Hageman, Agnes Kendall, and Minnie Neill; and brothers, John, Rex, Jean, Ralph, and Ike Kendall.

A Celebration of Life Open House will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 22 at Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service.

In lieu of flowers, Beth requested memorials be made to Bozeman Health Foundation (memo line: Hospice), 931 Highland Blvd, Ste. 3200, Bozeman, MT  59715.
