Snow is already piling up in the mountains and ski hills are opening early in southwest Montana.
Which means that backcountry avalanche concerns will be starting to climb. Matt Elwell caught up with the guys at the Gallatin National Forest Avalanche Center to get an early-season look at the snow-pack.
