Friday night the Gallatin City-County Health Department released more information on the man who tested positive for coronavirus in Gallatin County.

In a press release, the health department said the man is in his 40s, experienced mild symptoms, and is in good condition at home.

Health Officer Matt Kelley said the man has a history of recent international travel and likely did not contract the virus in Montana. Kelley added the man has been careful to limit his exposure to others.

"The good news is that this person was conscientious about staying at home and limiting his exposure to the public," Kelley said.

The man had no contact with senior care facilities or schools, according to the health department.

Kelley said in the press release that the risk to the public remains low in this case due to limited exposure.
